Move to a new house 17. march 2000

A bit scary. There are so many other cats around here in the neighbourhood. The garden is quite big, and there is a huge meadow in the back of the house. Zuki is the most scared of us, I have hardly seen her since we moved.The other cats are called Pebbles, Kitty, Abigail, Rosie and Tom. The last 2 I dont know the names of yet.

Big game hunting 2. March 2000

Today I brought home a huge head from a rabbit or a hare. Funny, but it seems to disappear as soon as I put it on the stairs outside our front door.

Today there was a solar eclipse. It was total down south in Cornwall, we saw it all on telly. It went all dark in the middle of the day. It wasn't all that dark up here, but it got a little darker.

A slight mishap 21. July 1999

Last night I was a little hungry, and I wanted to check out the bottom of an empty cat food tin. I shouldn't have. Slight problem ... couldn't get out again. I was stuck all night until morning when mum came to feed us. Miaow. I felt a little sore and shaken (not stirred) for a couple of days after. Think I learned a lesson from that. I might forget, though.

Change of teeth 18. Juli 1999

Have lost my temporary canine teeth now, have had 8 of them for a couple of weeks, which was a little painful actually. It will be easier to eat now. Miaow.

Draw of web name contest for "Buttons" 26. June 1999

Dad had a "name-the-kitten"-contest on his website for the new kitten. He had more than 800 entries. They curled up the 10 best suggestions on little pieces of paper, put them in a paper bag and let "Buttons" pick one out herself. From that moment she was named. "Buttons".

A new family member 10. June 1999

Today they brought home a tiny little kitten, can't be more than 6 weeks. A little girl, white and tabby. Don't know what her name is yet. Zuki doesn't like her. Dad says that's just how girls are!
